Our girls are due in March, and we were getting ready to vaccinate them. I read that you should give them the vaccine approximately 4 weeks before kidding. The bottle of CD&T Vaccine says to give them 2ML, a friend that has boer goats told me to do 5ML. What would you recommend? Could you overdue it?

CD&T you give 2cc only...... and yes it is 30 days before kidding...I have boers and they get the same as any other goat type... (all The same dose) no matter kid or adult ect..

Dont know why they would give 5cc

the dosage is 2cc no matter age or breed

if they have never had their CD/T before remember they need a booster 3-4 weeks later (and this booster should be 3-4 weeks before kidding to be passed into the colostrum to the kids)

They had their CD&T last spring. I gave them 2ML today. Since they had the other one, they shouldn't need it 3 to 4 weeks later?

I agree, 2cc for goats and sheep...no matter the size. I believe the 5cc is for cattle.

Also, does anyone know the milk withdrawal, if any with the CD/T?

I think you are right. I remember reading the cattle portion tonight. I wonder what happens when you give too much?

I don't know what would happen if too much was given.

I also found that there is no milk withdrawal time on the drug.

Ok, funny question, what if you don't know the exact due date? Do you err on the side of early or later for the injection?
