I got back from the show today and Charity's udder had filled and her ligs are going! Thats crazy cause she slept like a log last night and her ligs were rock solid at 5am. Just what I need after a long day of showing!! LOL

So I put her in the kidding pen and put the camera on her. She is swishing her tail and looking very unhappy.

This is the last kidding of the spring/summer.

Well she is laying in a corner chewing cud, but nothing else right now. So I think I am safe to get a few hours sleep.

:GAAH: Nothing yet! She's talking up a storm, and trying to break out of the kidding pen. I've been up every hour tonight.. and I think my alarm woke my mom up as well because I remember her coming into my room at some point to tell me to turn it off.

Will you be home today? I would let her out of the pen, and watch her...when she is comfortable thats when she'll find a nice spot to go down....and you can then get her back to her chosen birth suite!

I would also do as Liz suggested. all mine so far have gone into labor out in the pen then I move then before pushing or after kidding to the stall or pen to separate them.

They seem much more comfortable with their herd.

I couldn't keep my eye on her if she went out with the herd so it wasn't an option. She calmed down anyways when I went and sat with her even thought she isn't a people loving kind of goat.

She ended up having... you guessed it. :boy: :boy:      :veryangry: :veryangry: :veryangry: :veryangry: :veryangry: :hair: :hair: :hair: :GAAH: :GAAH: I'm never using Alexis again. He's given me 5 bucks and one doe in the three does i've bred him to. And Stacey has the one girl!!!

I told Charity I'm disowning her and thats it.

She took forever to get down to business because the kids weren't positioned right. Even when she was pushing I could see kids kicking!! The first boy came head only and I had to pull a bit. The second kid came head and one leg forward.

Thankfully, she had a healthy delivery, sorry bout the :boy: :boy: though.

    Is Alex a "new" boy?
I wouldn't give up on him if he is, in my experience with the young guys, they get those XY's out of their system in the first season or 2...
if you like the bloodlines, let him get it out of his system before you make a final decision.

Are you still on dial up? Would love to see these new boys!

 Congrats! Two of my favorite colors =)

I feel your pain on the buck situation! I will not use BBB any more this year. I have 5-6 does still bred to him to finish the year...they NEED to have some girls or else BBB is off to his next home, I'm afraid. He's somewhere like 80% bucks to date.

Thank you everyone. I usually keep the camera in the kidding box so I can get lots of pictures. My mom took the two of the second boy coming out.

So helmstead whats your kid count so far?

I just counted mine and it's pathetic how many girls I've had. In total this year I had 9 kiddings. Out of 19 kids ONLY 6 were does. :sigh: :GAAH:
