Chocolate kid turning silver?

I have a 2 month old chocolate kid that is turning sliver. Just checking to see if this is normal or if there is something to be concerned about. I know there is a silver modifier gene but I see kids born silver, not necessarily turning silver later.

Chocolates can have a light grey undercoat occasionally. It’ll likely shed out.

Just wondering if you would know if a brown goat with a black under coat will go black when they mature?

If a kid was born chocolate, then they will remain chocolate. They cannot turn black. Color is not consistent along the hair shaft, so looking at undercoat colors isn’t very useful in majority of scenarios.

i have a line that seems to produce kids with a silver/white hair down the spine. The chocolate kids i have had were dark chocolate then fade to lighter, sometimes looking a bit silvery until adult coat comes in.
