CL vaccine??

Does anyone know what the situation is with the goat CL vaccine, made by Texas Vet Labs? I haven't been able to find it anywhere for at least a year; all the listings are for sheep. Their website still lists it as a product, but I didn't get a response when I sent them an inquiry. What gives?? It was such a breakthrough when it came out; I really hope it isn't discontinued!

Huh I just looked and can’t find it or any info about why it’s not being stocked. I know there was some restrictions on certain states being able to purchase it so maybe whatever was in it that the states are against everyone decided that it should be a no go.
But that’s assuming. I’ll keep my eye out and see if anyone says anything About it…… so weird

It's not stocked around here, or used often, so I've always had to order it, but didn't have trouble finding it.

Texas Vet Labs is no linger making the Vaccine. You can read about it on Onion Creek Ranch site. They stopped selling it summer 2021, I believe.

There is no other brand. It was the only CL vaccine made for goats, period. That's why it's a big deal.

Then nothing you can do. One would just have to make sure to take precautions to keep CL out of their herd or it already in the herd to keep it contained to just those that are positive.

Easier said than done. The vaccine was a godsend, and MGM has some choice words about it being discontinued.

Not saying it will be easy, but there is literally nothing anyone can do to force them to put the vaccine back on the market. I’m not picking on anyone and I had used the vaccine for many years as a prevention. It was easier and cheaper then testing my whole herd every year. But I have not used it in a few years now. Figure if it’s spread threw the pus just test any lumps and bumps and cross that bridge if it comes back positive. It’s going to be a pain for a lot of people I get that.
