I was wondering how you all sharpen your clipper blades. Do you mail them out, sharpen them yourselves, have someone local do it...etc? What do you pay for them to be sharpened and what would you be willing to pay? Do you ever get a discount for sending in a bunch of blades? I'm asking because my grandma used to sharpen blades as a side business and she showed me how to sharpen too. Before she passed away she spent $1500 for all new equipment and supplies but now they're just sitting in their boxes collecting dust.
I bought a clipper blade sharpener but I'm afraid to use it in case I ruin my blades, so I need to send mine in to be sharpened. I think it only costs around $30-40 but I'm not sure.
$30-$40 for 1 set of blades? I know Premier charges $7 for 1 set. My grandma was charging $7 about 15 years ago. ETA: When my grandma did it, $7 included her picking up and delivering the blades when done.
I dont really know of places around here to get my blades sharpened so I just buy new ones. I am sure if I looked I would find a place but I never take the time.
