I have a question I have been told when you are going to show a goat when you clip there hair you have to leave the top line or the hair on the back bone of the goat however I have been looking at show pictures of goats and they are shaved completely. I was told if you don't leave the top line the judges will mark your goat down
What is the right way?

We leave a slight topline on our girls here. Some people don't know how to fit up a topline with a brush and sprays, and really for most it's just easier to shave it off. I like a little hair left to work with. My girls have nice clean straight toplines anyway, all the hair does is really pop out their strengths.
