Well, after reading about you guys doing fecals before womring/treating, I decided to follow your good advice! To do one fecal was $19 -- does that sound reasonable? It would be pretty steep to do all 20 of my goats, so I did one of my young ones (4 mos)--- cocci! There were two types of cocci present (I need to call and ask what types), one was a light load, one was a "light to moderate" load. The vet gave me sulfaquinoxiline 10% (sp?) with directions to dose 1 cc/ 5 gallons for five days. Thoughts? Other remedies you prefer? Thanks!
ok that sounds like an odd mixture I like to use Baycox now -- but I have used with success Corid 1cc per4lbs for 5 days (dont dilute with water before measuring dosage but after you measure it out you can mix with any flavoring you want) Sulmet is good 1cc per5lbs the first day and then day2-5 1cc per10lbs Same for Albon.
