Will goats be okay in an closed up barn at night when the temps get down to the lower 30s or mid to upper 20s? This is my first year with 2 ND's, both 9 months old. I thought of adding a heat lamp but would be afraid they would knock it down in the straw bedding. I've given them extra straw to make for deep bedding and I'm hoping this is enough. They sleep in an extra horse stall with the barn closed up at night.

So do you guys provide a heat lamp or anything else when the temp gets down this low?

They will be fine. We've been well below 32 for several weeks and my girls are fine. A heat lamp will only interfere with them growing an adequate winter coat.
