I've been wildly preoccupied with looking up pictures of goat shelters, houses, and barns. It's just so fun to see everyone's creative ideas! So if you've got a cool, creative, artsy, efficient, or resourceful goat house (or sheep, horse, dog, etc.), show it off! I'm low-key looking for ideas of what to do with a pile of scrap wood that nobody on Craigslist seems to want.
This is our 8x10 turkey house but I plan on making the bucks one in the spring . We bought the slab wood for $60 & used maybe half the load. The plywood, 2x4's & roofing were things I'd picked up for free. So we've got maybe $40 into it. I'm always grabbing freebies that I might be able to use.
I'm a half hour north of Seattle so the shelter would have to be pretty water tight. Or it could be like a play house. They have a barn and a little shelter but could always use something to climb on and under.
My goat barn is an old tobacco barn that was on the property when we bought it
