I have a 4 yr. Old ND wether that has had a cough for about 5 days. He also has rasping breathing when he exercises. He is eating, drinking, pooping, peeing, playing and being mischievous. He gets hay, about 1/3 c. Of Dumour goat pellets twice a day, peanuts in the shell for treats, oregano, mint, thyme occasionally. We give rainwater. He gets copper bolus every 6 mo. Recently gave him selenium gel(dry skin and dandruff). Started Vet Rx 2 times a day 3 days ago. Temp 101.4 Famacha bright pink. What else can I do at home? Does he need a vet? Thanks.

Has it been wet weather in your area or out in pasture on the early morning dew? One of the first things that pop into my mind is lung worm which doesn't normally show up on regular fecal tests. Could there be snails in the rain water ?
I agree to check for lung worm. Also try Benadryl in case ita allergies

No snails in rainwater. He doesn't usually set hoof on wet grass. Lol

I'll look into lungworm. Do you know benadryl dosage? He is about 75 lbs.
15 to 20 cc for adult goats. I would go with 15 for him and do 2 times a day for 3 days and see if that helps.
Meadowmistlabs.com do fecals for $7.
