So I sent my mother after CDT today at the vet clinic. The lady at the counter gives her Covexin 8. Is this the same thing?! I’m so confused as to why she gave her Covexin 8 instead of CDT.

It is the same as CDT except it covers more things

Oh ok. So is the dosage the same as CDT? 2ml per goat for all ages and sizes?

It says this on the medicine cabinet thread: "Covexin 8 Cattle & Sheep Vaccine--Give 5 ml SQ, followed by a 2 ml SQ dose in 6 weeks and once annually."

Yes it is the same as the medicine cabinet info. Now I’m wondering, is the dosage for all goats no matter age or size? My does are about three weeks from their due dates, so is this good for them? And what about the kids when they are 8 weeks?

I believe it would be for all. I personally stay away from it but I just don't want to inject that much.

Hmm I’m not so sure about it. I’m thinking that I’ll see if they can take it back and I’ll get some CDT from TSC. I’ll just stick to what I know. If they won’t take it back then we’ll use it on the cattle.
