One of my does has this on one leg. She doesn’t limp and there’s no blood, oozing or scabs but I feel like if the skin becomes broken it could get worse. She acts, eats, poops normal; otherwise healthy. None of the others have this. I will have to catch her to treat so thought I would reach out to better prepare. Does anyone know if it’s fungal or bacterial? On the back of this leg is thinning hair and whitish areas of dry looking skin but I couldn’t get behind her to get a picture.

I agree that it looks like it could be mites. You can cover all bases by doing the injectable Ivomec, scrape off any dead skin, put MTG on the affected parts. The other options would be iodine, NuStock or Blukote.

Thanks so much! So will the ivermectin be a shot or oral dose? And I have Nustock but what is MTG?
Actually I think I found the oral dosage..1ml per 50 pounds..not injected. Is that correct? Thanks again!
