Well, I brought out the halters. Freddie thought his mama was trying to kill or strangle him. So we grabbed him, put the halter on, and just got him used to it. Spoiler alert, he realized it wasn't going to kill him.

For anyone wondering, the rope halter we used is not what is going to be further used for walking or restraining, it's just the easiest to slip on and off for the initial desensitizing.

Good goat Mom. I know you were a little hesitant to begin leash training. Promise it gets easier with time. They get use to it. Give lots of praise, pets, treats to reward the good behavior. Soon the negatives will be a thing of the past.
Was waiting for a clearing in my busy schedule and awful rainy weather. Leash training is a go. Thank you!
