This is weird. I haven't been having good success with LOH either recently even when I used to. I wonder what's going on. How many times a week were you using it?What's your recommended cydectin dosage and schedule? I use LOH but it's not working for me currently despite being super diligent and doing the acture dosages
I'm really glad I'm not the only one. My maintenance routine is 3 days on/four off... I do the LOH herbs plus EO's Friday, Sat, Sun, normal dosing by drench. After my first doe kidded I did a fecal and her count was high (2000 ish) so I went for double dose, three times a day, for a week.. then backed off to two times a day for a week or so.. then once a day... now back to the routine. Honestly there has been little to NO improvement. Three weeks after kidding I went chemical because she's rather sensitive and I didn't want to risk it - The combo I used is no longer effective so... here we are. I just dosed with the Cydectin sheep drench, 4.5 ml/25 lbs. This is weird. I haven't been having good success with LOH either recently even when I used to. I wonder what's going on. I need to send her an email. I did previously and did her recommended post kidding treatment but it hasn't worked. Her numbers just keep steadily rising.Have you contacted Kristie of LOH? She often can help you adjust your usage for success.

That's the dose I use. So far, so good for me.the Cydectin sheep drench, 4.5 ml/25 lbs.
Cool - Thankya! I'm going to start up with Livamol with Bioworma again in three days too. That's the dose I use. So far, so good for me.
Not that I had heard of... that sounds terrifying. Is it possible for a resistance to form when using herbal deworming?
I used it in 2020; Had mixed feelings. I think it helped but it wasn't the cure all they advertise it to be, and it's SUPER expensive. I think part of my downfall was I was actually under dosing; I brought the scale out there today and the correct dosage for my nubians is 1/4cup ... CUP... per day, per animal. That adds up realllllll quick when you add the herbal dewormer and the essential oils to the mix. Sigh. I can let you guys know how it goes with the new and improved correct dosingI'm curious to know what the results of the Livamol with the Bioworma is. I've heard alot about it, but haven't bitten the bullet and bought some yet.
Okay, I was doing once a week herbs for probably a year, and that was working great, and then this past winter I started seeing famachas that were less than what I wanted. So bumped up to twice a week and still I was getting weak famachas and only okay fecal counts. I started adding EOs weekly right after my does kidded in March and I had been doing that for maybe three weeks until the beginning of the month when I decided to chemically worm a doe that just wasn't putting weight on. I'm now treating her acutely with herbs because the chemicals didn't work so I'll let you know if the herbs end up working because at this point I'm throwing everything at I got her. I followed the acute dosage on LOH's website plus added the ginger garlic paste she suggests and EOs twice a week.I'm really glad I'm not the only one. My maintenance routine is 3 days on/four off... What about you? Whats your situation and what are you dosing?
It's not supposed to be. If I understand it properly, the herbal wormers work by basically making the internal environment too spicy for the worms to stand while supporting the goat's immune system. Is it possible for a resistance to form when using herbal deworming?
Yeah let me know! I don't rotate either, no space, but the herbs were working great September through February. They got my FECs down from 2500-3000 ish to one or two hundred. No idea why I'm not having luck anymoreOkay, I was doing once a week herbs for probably a year, and that was working great, and then this past winter I started seeing famachas that were less than what I wanted. I am also dealing with the inability to rotate pastures right now, so I've been blaming the herbs not working on that.

I'll have to try the pumpkin seeds =)I give 15 ml per 70-85 lb goat. Works for me. I do not worm unless the BP count is high. I feed raw pumpkin seed as treats ever so often and 4 whole garlic bulbs broken up into cloves and give max number of 5 cloves per goat. Also occasionally I give 6ml aloe Vera juice. I also have some that want eat the minerals unless I doctor them up. I take my mineral in a 1/2 quart jar and fill it with the minerals 3/4 full. I add flax seed and 2 tablespoon of cow feed. Shake up well and put on mineral feeder. Next morning I have to refill the feeder. I do it once a day for a week then skip 3-4,days then start again. Nothing scientific about it, it just works for my goat. I use to put sunflower seed (Boss) but I caught some smarty pant goats raking the mineral out on the ground with their nose to get the seed. I stopped the sunflower in the mineral and just add it to their regular oats and alfalfa mix at feed time. The flax seed are so small and the cow feed has a little crack corn so they eat the mineral up trying to get the goodies in it. I personally think all this helps with worm loads to be low.🤠
