Yes. Could be from zinc deficiency or parasites.

Thank you. Can you recommend a treatment?
What type of loose minerals are you using? For external parasites, lice can be seen with the naked eye by running a fine tooth comb through the hair and checking the contents between the comb teeth for small gray looking bugs. Mites are another external parasite though can't be seen. Internal parasites can be checked for and identified with a fecal test.

Is there excessive itchiness and scratching involved with the skin condition?

She’s receiving minerals that are included in the grain we give her once a day, but as for loose minerals, she isn’t getting any. We were planning on getting her a mineral lick though, would that be sufficient? And no, there’s no excessive itchiness or scratching. Also, in your opinion could we use diatomaceous earth to rub in her coat?
You need a good loose mineral. Blocks are full of molasses and they can't lick enough to get the proper amount.

First, get a good quality loose mineral for the goats and make it available to them 24/7. Loose minerals are very important to the health and well-being of goats. There are several threads concerning minerals and/or recommendations for brands of loose minerals that work well for goats if you need help choosing which one to use. Not all the loose minerals are available depending on location. A mineral lick will not provide enough minerals for a goat.

Also, on the thread about the buck, he is showing signs of needing copper. I can't tell from the pictures provided whether or not this goat also needs copper. Do you have any copper bolus?

DE will not provide any significant healing properties and isn't very effective against external parasites if those are what is causing the skin condition.

Has the goat finished shedding out the winter overcoat? Has brushing the dandruff out of the coat helped lessen the amount of dandruff you have been seeing?
@G1NA The copper and zinc mentioned earlier are both (and many others) contained in loose minerals and along with giving copper bolus to at least the goat in your other post, will go a long way towards helping to correct what could be a mineral deficiency causing the skin condition in one and the rough coat in the other.
