Is Dels meat goat feed good for Pygmys?
I don't know what they mean by calling it "Meat Goat" feed.
I am guessing it is for Boer or any goats that are meant for the butcher.
Is it ok to feed to Pygmys?
Our goats seem to like it a lot, I try to feed them around a cup a day, they also get blackberry bushes and grass hay.
I have heard too much grain can cause problems in goats, but these pellets aren't grain , are they?
We are feeding two 3 month old wethers.

What say you?

Thanks, Ron

I've never heard of that feed. Your wethers don't need much grain at all. The amount you are feeding is fine. The pellets are considered to be "grain". As they are older, you can add alfalfa pellets or eventually replace the goat feed with alfalfa pellets.

Sounds fine to me, alot of folks dont give wethers any grain at all but I do as they are growing.
Is Dell's a chain? We have one near us.

I feed meat goat grower pellets to my dairy kids and adult bucks. It is usually a decent protein and a higher fat than most other feed. They also usually contain ammonium chloride to prevent urinary calculi and a coccidiostat to prevent cocci.
