Hi guys,

I feel as if I should deworm my goats but I have so many questions.

1. My goat is still providing milk to her first kid can I still worm her right now?
2. I have safeguard oral dewormer will this work?
3. When should I deworm her first buck he is about 1 1/2 months old?

Please help !!!!

Any information would be greatly appreciated

If shes not showing signs of parasite load with weight loss, anemia, loose stool ect..have a fecal done first and see what she is dealing with if anything. Meadowmistlabs.com only charges 7 bucks a test
Safeguard is not an effective dewormer for most parasites. You will want a broad-spectrum dewormer like Cydectin Sheep drench or ivomectin
And deworming a nursing mom won't hurt babies nursing. Milk withdrawals are for human consumption.
