    Milky Way's having twins! :leap:

It took FOREVER to figure out how to ultrasound a doe with the wand, but after experimenting with a doe they knew was pregnant (3 months) and looking it up, we finally found 2, head to head. I didn't get a chance to see the ears, but I'll be able to see when I take her to get a professional ultrasound.

Pray for one of each! :kidblue: :kidred:
  2. VERY COOL!!! congrats! The docs I work for have an OLD machine and they keep talking about getting a new one! SO gueaa who is first in line for the old one  I say spend away docs get that new machine! lol

Sorry to bump it, but we did another ultrasound today. Not only are they guaranteed mini nubians with NO trace of nubian at all (perfect Swiss-type ears), they're fully developed, and she's got 2 weeks or less to go. One of them was kicking up a storm and didn't like being jabbed with the wand...

Unfortunately, the kicker was also a MONSTER, and I mean it was huge. I'm hoping nothing goes wrong, but I'll bet money this one's going to be the first kid I've gotta pull.

Another complication is we saw what looked like a 3rd head hiding behind Fatso...she had triplets her first kidding, why not do it again?

Congratulations, sounds like you wont have to wait much longer to find out if its twins or trips.

I guess my question is now, should I go ahead and give her a shot of Ivomec and CDT, or just hold off until she kids? I do have to trim her feet again, and I know you're not supposed to do it this close, but I feel if she handled the car ride through some of the worst dirt roads in Oklahoma without even batting an eye, she ought to be able to handle it again.

She's also grinding her teeth a LOT more, so I think that fat kid is pressing in all the wrong spots for her...

CD/T should be given 4 weeks before delivery to ensure the kids are protected through the colostrum, I don't use injectible wormer so I can't answer that. You can give her the wormer orally the day she kids though.
If you give the CD/T when she delivers, be prepared to give kids their first dose at 3 weeks, again at 6 eweeks and have the antitoxin on hand in case you need it.
