the wrap is taught on his neck/under his jaw, i want to rewrap it but im afraid of taking the pressure off of his head so i am going to leave it until i get more input. Thx all
Okay Yall, I think this is my second post here. My babies were born, Jenna gave 1 doe and 1 buck. Theyre now almost 3 months old. I had both of them disbudded at the guidance of my vet - milking and breeding goats should be disbudded. I will admit I am not very savvy with goats, I want to do the best thing for them. Anyways, reasons aside I decided to get them disbudded. 1 week later I noticed growth of horns, I contacted vet, she scheduled me out 2 weeks - ok fine, date comes round she could not do it. next week she scheduled, today comes and she did the procedure for Ginger (doe) and everything is ok. Calls me and tells me ginger is done, but jasper (buckling) had to have different procedure done. I say ok, go to get the goats and my boy comes out with vetwrap all over his head and ears with blood dried. I ask what happened, she said they had to use scoop. I say ok, we load them into the back of the tahoe and I look back and there is blood everywhere. seeping from his head, i start crying and call the vet and she has attitude and is mad i needed him to come back. he is rewrapped and now we are at home ~2hr later. He has just finally calmed down after having acepromazine. i had to practically beg them to give him medication, he cried so sorrowfully my heart is broken, never again will i disbudd. this was horrific. Sorry for the rant, my emotions have been crazy. How can i help him heal and help him have a better outlook? i am so worried for my dear jasper.
