My doe just had a stillborn birth but she seems to keep letting out red discharge from her girl part .(sorry for the poor vocabulary) I keep cleaning it every day but the next day, it's back and making a bloody mess on her tail and her horns when she scratches close to there... It's now dark red but isn't thick exactly - Is that bad?? I don't know how to keep it contained and it's SOOO disgusting to clean, (but I would do anything for her) though she doesn't seem disturbed by it and doesn't seem to be hurt by her... dilemma;D How can I keep it clean? Is there something I can put on it to keep it from coming out of her, just for a little bit? Help please!!

It is supposed to come out!! (embarrassed)

It may keep going for up to 4 weeks. If you want to put some vaseline on her hair it will keep it from sticking but only do this on the legs or hairy part of the tail.

IT'S NATURAL - LEAVE HER BE, unless it smells very foul, then there may be infection.

Yep, it’s perfectly natural...it’s good she’s cleaning out. That way her reproductive system stays healthy.

Perfectly normal, she could have discharge for 2 to 4 weeks. Shaving her tail really helps, so her tail don't get so disgusting. If it getting on her udder you could also shave that. But some does aren't as messy and don't need their udder shaved.
