Even trying to dry up my doe. It's been 2 weeks since we took her kid. We had been milking twice a day, just enough to relieve her. Last Monday we took her off grain. I milked about 3/4 cup Friday night. Sat night I only took 1/2 cup because I didn't want to have to milk on Monday morning, but she really didn't need to be milked. We didn't milk at all Sunday. This morning she still wasn't swollen firm so I didn't milk. Her udder is still large but the years are soft and smooshy. Do I just quit milking her altogether now? Will the rest just dry up on its own? Am I past any worry of mastitis? She has been getting 500 mg vitamin C twice daily for prevention. Advice?

Lol, I hate autocorrect!
I think you can just stop milking her now, since she is milking so little now. I don't think you have to worry about mastitis at this point, mostly have to worry about that when they bag up. Her body will realize there are no kids nursing or people milking, so her production will stop and her body will reabsorb the milk.
