Ok, so I have a Pygmy mama with twin doelings. I noticed today that one of the doelings was fighting her mom. She kind of softly rammed her side and then the mom (daisy) just turned around and butted her. Then they stood up to each other and rammed eachother softly. The doeling is only 3 months. Do they usually challenge eachother with the doeling that young? (sorry for it so confusing!)

Yes, I've seen mine do that. I don't think it's an actual challenge/fight, though, I think it's just play. If they don't do it with Mom, how will they learn how to be goats? Not lecturing or anything but, personally, I think the lack of that type of behavior is exactly why bottle babies that aren't/can't be kept with the herd have such a hard time learning how to be goats when they rejoin the herd. But, I could be wrong on that. LOL

Mine have done it, but not usually. I think that sometimes the mom acts out of impulse, thinking it's somebody else's baby.
