I have a five month old doeling that was fine yesterday but this morning she is limping on the back right leg. I have checked her hoof and leg for open areas and palpated for swelling and to see if she would show signs of pain. Nothing. She obviously does not feel well!! She will walk on it and will stand to graze. I feel certain she was headbutted by this one mean goat I have. (I am getting rid of her but she is nursing a baby I have three more weeks - but I have separated her and her baby from the herd.) I am relatively new to goats. Any ideas of treating her with an anti-inflammatory? I thought I would treat for inflammation first and if she doesn't respond get an x-ray. Suggestions???
