Anyone have a cell phone that needs a SIM card???
We got a 'gift' from someone who failed to send us the Apple we bought from China (I should say, my dad bought---against my advice). . . so her conscious must have been bothering her pretty badly. . . so she sent us a Nokia E71 cell phone which fits my tiny hands perfectly . . . :p
    However, it needs a SIM card . . .
does anyone else have any experience with this?
Can you describe what and how this thing works??
How much did you pay for it and what network are you with?
    thanks, tia

The person she got the cell phone from should have put the SIM card in it. They don't put them in till the phones are purchased so they can't be used if they are stolen from the store.

 Does that mean it was 'took' ???
The box didn't have a seal on it when I opened it . . . however, everything else was there, in the box that should have been in the box . . .
    :help: What . . . to . . do . . . :help:

So your dad ordered and Apple (computer?) Online. They didn't send it to you. Instead, they sent you a cell phone (uh not so great of a deal?). This cell phone needs a SIM card, which means it's either an ATT or TMobile phone since Sprint and Verizon use Airwave activation of your line-phone connection.

My blackberry tour is a world phone, it has a SIM slot for when I'm in foreign countries so i can pay for service on that SIM wherever I happen to go... I'm not sure if you can just go into a store and ask for a SIM card, or if it will work on your line if your current phone doesn't use a SIM card =/

Sorry I'm not of much help. I'll ask some friends and get back to you.

you need to pay for a line through AT&T or Tmobile - you will get a SIM card with that purchase which you will put in the phone you received.
