well:scratch: i am always milking my goats and then making the goat cheese but know the cheese doesn't seem to be working. would their be anything wrong with the milk? would appreciate any suggestions!:confused:

Depending on the type of cheese you are making , are you using a culture? Is there chance that the culture may be old and lost it's strength?

Mastitis can affect the taste of your does milk, appearance as well as how the curd sets when making cheese. Bacteria from infection can cause curd to become grainy instead of setting firmly enough to cut.
