Just picked up a new lamb a few days ago, and the owner did mention that she needed to be dewormed. I was up for trying to get her better and back to good health.
Went ahead and did a mix of Ivermectin and safeguard, and the first round is already done and am looking to redo in 10 days.
I've been giving her probiotics and hay daily, but she still has diarrhea now on day 3 of being home. I want to take a good look at her poop tomorrow to see if it has improved at all.
If nothing changes, I'll get a new fecal done and go from there, but I also wanted to cover everything else like potential coccidia.
I haven't dealt with coccidia in sheep before, but I do have Corid on hand and I can grab some albon if needed. But what even are the dosages for albon and liquid Corid? I'm a little worried about using Corid, but I did have great success with it I'm the past with a couple goat kids. I do have B12 complex on hand of anything goes wrong I suppose.
The lamb is 9 months old, and her condition isn't very well but she is very round (has a large stomach). Despite the diarrhea, she is very lively, active and eating well. Maybe I'm just expecting a quick recovery when it will take some time???
