Two of my 100% registered boer FFs are recorded as being due 3/22 and 3/23. They are full sisters and I noticed that Brigette's bag was a lot fuller than Steppers about a week ago and figured it was Murphy's Law rearing it's ugly head because Brigette looks to be carrying a single and Stepper seems to be carrying twins so naturally the one that looks like she has a single would be the one with alot of milk. Well this morning, Brigette's bag is enormous! Never had a boer with a bag like that, especially 3 weeks from kidding so I started rethinking that due date. It seems that I put her and Stepper with the buck Sept 28 expecting both girls to come into heat around Oct 3, but did't see any "activity" until Oct 23 and marked down the date, but now I am sure she must have been bred in early Oct. Best laid plans and all that, but the exciting part is she should be kidding my first 100% registerable kid(s) very soon but I think Stepper will be another 3 weeks and hopefully by then, she'll have a big bag too.
