KY requires teh scapies tag to sell or show or move them. We are planning on getting microchips instead of tattooing to make things easier.

J- We started microchipping this past summer and love it. So easy, so quick, and the goat doesn't even know you did it. I think you will like it!

I have 1 girl with a neck chain...she has had it all her life and hasnt had any problems with it.

Also, as far as I was told, they do not accept tattoos for scrapies in my state....I am not totally sure but I think that is what I was told.

In washington (as far as i know) they still accept tattoos as scrapie id. Any animals that are not registered have to have a WA in front of my herd tattoo. Verifying they were born in washington state. At least this is what i was told byt people from where i got my premise id.
