We live in the uper midwest, and our landlord leases out his 160 acres surrounding our house and three acre lot. This year it is leased to a farmer growing corn to be harvested for his feedlot cattle. Our two dairy does have been nibbling on the stalks at the fringes surrounding our little spot, but it grows very thick and they don't venture into the field (a human could not easily walk into it). The corn has started to produce now, and I'm wondering if I should worry about them eating it (the actual corn on the cob). The farmer won't care about a little missing around the edges, but do you think they'll eat themselves into bloat? So far they munch the leaves for a while and walk away.
