My vet refused to sell it to me, said there was no need to have it on hand and I could just call him in an emergency. I’m sure that anaphylactic reaction will wait for him to get here before progressing to a critical point...

Sounds like he just wants you to pay him more money. Those emergency vet bills are NOT cheap. I'd try another vet and see what they say.

I got mine from my vet. There is no other way to get it. Your vet may sell you a single dose to keep on hand. In the mean time, grab a big bottle of Liquid Benadryl. Pill work too but I like the ease of liquid.

ohhh! Ok i will ask the vets for it! I have 2 and im sue they are both willing to lend me some, ateast a dose ;)
