Ernest is done with quarantine, was penned up with a couple of weanlings to make a few friends and got his fine, new apron fitted.
Ding didn't want him around.
Posing - I took his collar off before I came inside.
Setting his sights high! That's Pinky, the herd queen.
I am hoping this year's apron experiment works better than last years.
I also got permission to post his parentage. Ernest is an unregistered son of an FF.
His mama:
He is handsome! With such awesome parents, why is he unregistered? Is it because moms a FF? I know a lot of bigger farms don't like to sell bucks from FF. One of the bucklings I bought this year is the son of a FF. The breeder usually doesn't sell FF's bucklings but because the sire was line bred on my late buck and his twin sister, she was ok with it because I knew what the genetics and potential kids would be like.
