Expiration Dates On Bactracillin and CD Antitoxin

932 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  toth boer goats
I'm going through my livestock first aid stuff and found that my Bactracillin G Benzathine Penicillin and CD Antitoxin are expired by a few years. Does anybody know if I can keep them, or should I toss them and get new ones?

If stored correctly, they may still be good. But, don't toss before you get your new stuff. Pretty soon, we will hardly be able to purchase any antibiotics without
a prescription from a vet. CD Anti toxin is hard to find (at times). My thought is - if you have any on hand and need it- even if expired, its better than nothing.
But, it may not work.

Thanks for the reply! I'll keep it in hand then and purchase some fresh stuff if I see it.
As mentioned, I agree.
Make sure it looks the same as usual and has not changed color or have floating things in it.
