i have a 1 year old female boer goat that has been healthy until recently. i have treated her all of last week for worms ( safeguard anti wormer ) since she was showing black discharge. now, the last few days she has started showing general malaise ( wants to sit around all day ). she also has pus in one eye and both eyes are only partially open.

any idea what this might be and how to treat it?

Could be pinkeye or even a cold...any discharge from her nose? Coughing? Have you taken her temperature? Normal is 101 to 103.5 F For her eyes, wipe them with warm saline daily and see if that helps, if not then continue with keeping them clean and use a few cc's of Penicillan or oxytetracycline in her eyes.
If she's running a high temp and has other symptoms then I would start her on antibiotic injections.

I agree with Liz..... wear gloves just in case of pinkeye....contagious to humans and other goats....
