I've had a couple of farm names. The first was Caledonia Hills Farm. This was when my ex and I were together, as i loved the sound of it and his family have Scottish roots (even though my farm has no real hills, haha!!). When i got divorced i dropped the name, luckily i hadn't been raising anything and had no official link to the name so it was easy to see it go. I chose another name, Braidwater, which is harder to describe why I chose it (it's about accepting that you have to 'go with the flow" in life, even when the flow is confusing and complicated)... if I ever build a huge plantation house i may still call it that just because I like the sound, hehe.
Anyway, that was what i called the farm during my single years. It wasn't much of a farm, and it was a pretty miserable time. When i got remarried I moved to my husband's house. No place for a farm in a .4 of an acre lot. :-/ After a few years of that we sold that house and came back to my farm. It was a fresh start. I was able to start my homesteading and growing gourds and crafting. From the ashes of my previous life we were reborn into a new life... and we were building a safe warm comfortable nest here for ourselves... Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, and settling into its warm safe "down" lined nest. So... PhoenixDown Farm.
And also a PhoenixDown is an item in a video game my husband and I love, lol.
