I have two doelings. A seven mth Boer/La Mancha, and a four mth old 100% Boer. They browse during the day, and I also feed them each 1 cup of 'Showgoat Developer' with 1 cup BOSS mixed in. They get this morning and evening. They also get Alfalfa hay. They have free access to minerals. Does this sound O.K.? Also is it possible to feed Alfalfa hay in another form? If so do they get the same benefit. I seem to have a lot of waste in the stems . Any advice appreciated. I live in the Pacific NW. Wa state.

I don't raise meat goats but when I can't get alfalfa hay, I do give alfalfa pellets...they would still need the hay for the "long" fiber and you can try another type such as a timothy/mixed grass or clover hay and add the pellets to their grain mix.
