I am just getting started. I have an Alpine doe and a ND buck. I'm already feeding my horses Purina Equine Senior, and reading the guaranteed analysis, it looks ok for my goats, too. Any other people out there feeding senior horse feed to their goats? Any comments on it, or reasons I shouldn't? Thanks!

I know people do feed horse feed to goats. My personal preference is to feed a goat feed to goats and horse feed to horses, etc.

I have to say that I have fed horse feed to my goats with no problems. Horse feed is tested and made better than any other feed out there since people don't want their horses that are worth thousands of dollars getting sick/dying. I personally don't see anything wrong with it and if it's more convenient for you then I would say go for it. You can always change it if you end up not liking it. That's just my two cents.:D
