We've got some apples that are over-ripe, and some are starting to go brown and mushy. Would it be ok to feed these to our goats and/or chickens? In small quantities, of course, not as a regular part of their diet.

Cashmere, Is it only mushy apples that do this with goats or just any amount of apple good or bad? My girls love apples so I give them to them almost daily anywhere from a small slice to 2 whole apples each.

The goat I dealt with ate fresh hard apples. The person that owned the goat I helped take care of had a tree in the goat pen so she ate a lot of apples. She was one her side her rumen had little movement her temp was low. She was in a lot of pain.
My goats love them too I only slice up an apple and give a two or three slice each goat maybe twice a. week
