So I have seen several does who's feet have become malformed after kidding. I am told this is due to calcium deficiency. Is this true and if so how do I avoid this because I will be breeding my does this fall and they will be first fresheners and I don't want this to happen? Thanks

Could it be from the extra weight on the back during later stages of pregnancy? If she had plenty grain this could cause it as well, (fast hoof growth) or selenium def.

Ok it is in the back feet I have seen it. Maybe it is selenium. The breeder just told me it was calcium.
