Hey! It's September and I typically fertilize/weed/feed my fescue pasture the end of the month. I can keep the pony off of the pasture but not the goats, unless I just lock them up for a day or two. My husband said it's not worth it to do now because of the goats but my grass is dying and usually needs a boost by now.

Do any of you fertilize, or use weed/feed products on your goat pastures? They eat a lot of the weeds in our back section, but not the ones that pop up in the grassy sections. We got our babies this spring so this is a new cycle for us.

Thank you all in advance.

I wouldn't, but that's why we got goats to eat the grass and particularly the weeds that most of the other livestock won't touch. We eventually plan to seed with a forge hay mix seed so that hopefully in the future I can divide the pasture and rotate them onto self sustaining feed lots that grow more then basic grass and weeds
