I think I was up to six or 7 kids at one time-all but two were does. But, now i'm down to one doeling and 1 milker, and one left to freshen with possibly triplets.Had she been bred to the right buck-she would have freshened already and my kidding season would have been over already  .

Well after we sell the two extra boys we'll have a grand total of 11 goats. The most I've ever had was 6. So for me, 11 goats is a lot!

They are so cute, and she's gonna be a fluffy little thing too! I know what you mean about your herd growing FAST!! I got the most kids this season than I've ever had! 9 total, 6 girls and 3 boys! 7 kids sold 2 retained and my "original" herd went from 6 to 15 within 3 weeks! Now I'll have 8...3 bucks and 5 does ,2 of which are retired to be "hayburners" as hubby calls them. The doeling I retained won't be bred til November 09 so the only kids I expect next year will be from Binky.
