Finally got my goats

536 Views 12 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  Chiknoodle
I have wanted to get into the world of dairy goats for fifteen years, and my husband and I just bought a small farm with plenty of space for a few goats and chickens. We live in North Carolina. We are soon to get a couple of goats from a guy we met who needs to downsize, and from there, we'll probably get a couple more dairy goats to get started. I'm looking forward to learning the ropes here!

Welcome! I can’t wait to see a picture of your goats when you get them. Have you decided on how many and what breed you’re getting?

That’s super exciting! So happy for you! Goats are the best and once you get into them, it’s hard to get back out. Just a friendly warning.

Some people asked what kind of goats I want. Well, I'm planning to stick to dairy, and I would prefer to have Nubians or Nigerians from everything I have read about them. I will post some pictures soon. Thank you for the kind welcome.
