Last night at about 12:30am we had our FIRST Registered Nigerians. The dam is white with a little gold undertones - sire is white. I expected a single white kid, and in turn I got a white / gold doeling and a broken buckskin with white buckling.

I have not named them yet, but I am going to go with the theme that I wanted - naming after the bays of the lake that we live on. I have a few in mind - but we will see!

I will start a naming thread with a poll to let you all help name them if you would like!

I really thought that I was going to get a single pure white! Not sure where the buckskin came from but the back half is SOOOO white. It is snowball white.

Would you call him buckskin or a broken buckskin or what??

Oh my goodness, Allison, they're darling! Congrats! I would call the male a buckskin pinto, broken buckskin, or bucksin with white markings. He's adorable and love the creme doeling!

    They're adorable! Congrats!!!

White goats can carry another gene for color. I had a nearly all white doe who carried black, heck I have one right now all white with black gene too. So they can express the buck's color etc.
