We did our first tattoos today. Last year we took everyone to the vet to be done, but this year with COVID-19 and the fact that we saw it done last year so kinda had a clue how to do it we decided to do it ourselves. We did 3 kids and it was no where near as awful as disbudding or castration. Hopefully they're clear and easily readable. I did find myself wishing we had a second tattoo outfit, so that is going on the list for my next goat order.

Green eared goat kids:
Plant Sky Grass Fawn Terrestrial animal
Goat Plant Dog breed Sheep Grass
Plant Dog breed Carnivore Grass Fawn

No, I felt bad but it was quick. Much quicker than disbudding. My husband wasn’t quite ready for how they’d jump though. The little bucklings (soon to be wethers) weighed in at 20# already at 8 weeks old.
