I took my boys on a 5 mile walk the other day to scout for deer with my buddy. They are saanen/lamancha (Coconut) and saanen/alpine(Casper) with a very sweet disposition. If your sitting on a rock they'll come over and rest they're head on your arm or shoulder and stay awhile. I bottle fed them from 4 days old. It was so much fun taking them out on the trail and having them follow me off lead the entire time, except for their first and second time across a creek. After that they were hopping everything and walking through water. I'm so proud of them. It makes me laugh because I had permagrin from seeing my boys doing wonderful. Absolutely zero problems on the first hike.

Thank you for replies and for the info. They are fun. I don't think Ill take them out during rifle season as I live in California with a bunch of idiots who shoot before they identify their target. I don't even wear hunter orange because Id rather not be seen. Are they big enough to carry an empty pack just to get them comfortable with it?
