A better rule of thumb is 2-3% of the animals body weight then you can adjust up/down as needed as every animal is different.

I have successfully sprouted corn, wheat, oats, alfalfa, barley, BOSS, pinto beans, navy beans, peas, radish, some alone some together the animals love them all. The kids love the radish mix for sandwiches! lol
