Alfalfa fodder??

Before I had chickens and got my goats I was researching a fodder system and loved the idea. The first time I tried it (it was during the summer and was with wheat) I got some mold. So I was going to try it again this fall/winter, but with my son turning 1, getting my girls, and the holidays it got put on hold for now. And what better time to start fresh than new years

I came across some alfalfa fodder systems. I originally heard of wheat & barley but this is the first on alfalfa. Anybody tried and had any luck with using alfalfa seeds in a fodder system and giving it to their animals?

I have successfully sprouted corn, wheat, oats, alfalfa, barley, BOSS, pinto beans, navy beans, peas, radish, some alone some together the animals love them all. The kids love the radish mix for sandwiches! lol
