How long does homemade cheese generally last for in the freezer? I want to make it while I have lots of milk and freeze it so we'll have it for the dry months.

Chevre freezes awesome! We always have a huge supply of it in the freezer. I dont know about hard cheese. I've froze cow cheddar before and it came out tasting alright, but VERY crumbly

As long as you wax your hard cheeses, they don't need frozen and will continue to "age". The others...I dunno. I was wondering too cause we had more milk than we could use last year and we couldn't eat that much fresh cheese....I was giving it away.
Why not freeze the milk?

Fair enough. I've personally never had it, but I know alot of people that swear by it. Personal opinion I guess
Lol. Yep. I know a lot of people that freeze milk too. It just always seems to me that the consistency is "weird". Probably just a mind set thing.
