Miss Penny will be bred for her FF in mid October...she is growing extremely well and will turn a year old in 8 days, with a breed date of October 15-20 she'd be due around March9 to the 24th and would be 20 months old at the time she would deliver. Heres my question: What are the chances she'd have quads? Her dam had quads with her first freshening, triplets her 2nd and quads her 3rd. Her full sister from her dams FF had triplets 7 months ago.
I've never had a FF kid with quads. I have had triplets on a FF, but I think having either trips or quads would be pretty unlikely. I usually get singles or twins from FF so I think that it was just a fluke thing that her dam had quads as a ff. I guess it could run in the genes though???
haha I thought quads were unlikely until my FF had them sounds like you are in for at least triplets, but who really knows
I retained a doeling out of a doe who had quads her first and second freshenings, then triplets 2x after that. The doeling was bred and kidded at 15 months with a single. Her second freshening she had twins. I try not to guess since they'll surprise me anyways!
