Goat School is on the road. We had a very successful Goat School last weekend here in Maine and now it's time to travel to Minnesota, There is still space available for both Goat School and the Soap and Cheese class on Monday next week. Here is a link to more information!

Goat School is an excellent way to learn more about your goats and it is also a great opportunity to be around goats and goat people. It also helps answer the question " do I want goats?" We have had folks tell us that they dreamed of goat ownership for years but after attending Goat School found it was just a dream and not really a reality for their life style.

See you next week in Littlefork Minnesota!

We arrived in Littlefork Minnesota yesterday afternoon. We will be going to North Country Farm (our host farm) this morning and double check to make sure all is ready. We anticipate a good crowd for Saturday and Sunday. We have been told that the Soap and Cheese class is almost sold out... A few seats left. If you are in Northern Minnesota and want to attend go to www.goatschool.com and click on the Minnesota Goat School link.

Will try to post as the weekend progresses... It's busy and fast paced!

While your in www.goatschool.com be sure to check out Janice's books and also the upcoming Goat School in Ohio for this Fall.

The first day of Goat School is now history. Great crowd with lots of good questions. Covered breeding, kidding, a bit of marketing and in the afternoon dis-budding demonstration and a banding demo. The group when on an evening tour of two goat farms and then finished off with a meal at a local International Falls hot spot.

Today... worming... vaccinations... milking demo... ear tags.. tattoo... and of course hoof trimming with cadaver hoofs for all to practice on. Lots to do!

Wish you all were here. Lots of folks from MN.. WI.. NY.
