Just added a 3 month old kid to our small herd on Saturday. He was banded a week prior and had diarrhea after. So previous owner gave him toltrazuril to treat for coccidia. I checked poop today and found in the bedding poop that looked like dog poop in shape rather than pellets. Has this happened to Anyone else?

This happened when I got my 10 week old goats. The stress of being moved and weaned gave coccidia the perfect chance to bloom. The breeder treated them the day I picked them up and gave me enough to repeat the dose 10 days later. It wasn’t quite enough and the tummy tamer recipe and an herbal regimen finally got them back on track. I also gave probiotics any time the poop wasn’t normal. But if his went from diarrhea to the logs of poop, it sounds like he is heading in the right direction. I’d still give probiotics and have a fecal ran to see if he needs another round of medicine.
